33. Upstate Medical University Standardized Patient (Visit upstatesp):
- Earn $15 per hour for training and exam sessions, with Standardized Patient jobs at Upstate Medical University, a SUNY health sciences university located primarily in the University Hill district of Syracuse, New York.
- Sensitive exams (genital, breast exams, etc.) pay a higher rate.
- Benefits:

- Meals provided, if you are working through lunch, or more than 5 hours.
- Training: 4 to 10 hours per case, depending on the complexity of the case.
- Requirements:
- Available for all exam sessions (2 to 6 hours).
- Available for 1 to 3 group training sessions (2 hours each).
- Ability to use computer keyboard and mouse.
- Have email and internet access for scheduling, correspondence with trainers, and reminders.

- Watch the 20 minute Prospective Standardized Patient Orientation video online.
- Complete online application, where you'll be asked questions about the video.
- You will receive an email either inviting you to an interview, or letting you know you're no the right fit for the Upstate Medical University Standardized Patient.
- Memorize case scenario emailed to you before interview day.
- Interview day:
- 2 hour interview (unpaid).
- Validated parking.
- 20 minute Clinical Skills Center tour, and questions and answers.
- 30 minute training.
- 20 minute encounter with simulated student (portrayed by Standardized Patient mentor).
- 15 minute follow up training.
- Notification:
- You'll be notified by email whether or not you're hired.
- If hired:
- Onboarding packet will arrive by mail.
